Vertex pistons are manufactured using exotic aluminum alloys called (low expansion) Silicon with 12% , 18% or 21% depending on the application. By using this High Tech tooling, specific surface finishes can be achieve depending on the final application of the finish piston. Every VERTEX Piston are coated with special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating to aid during piston break in and reducing friction during the work inside the cylinder.
